Re: Investment on savings

So easy to set up an ISA - go to companies such as Hagreaves Landsdown - it really is a no brainer if you have money to save. You're virtually losing money over time leaving it in a bank account accruing zero interest.

As an ex employee I can highly recommend Fidelity's FundsNetwork investment platform.

I've recently invested with Fundsmith as well, hopefully for a long term investment it will be worthwhile.

No protection on LCF whatsoever

"Please note that the bonds and ISAs are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme."

Doesn't mean not to do it but eyes wide open etc. Asset backed mean't jack shit back in 2007/2008.

But don't listen to me - I went into cash after Brexit - didn't really work out.

If you fancy putting it into Silver, then I can get you a cracking price. It doesnt devalue like paper money.

If youre below 40, take out a LISA immediately.

25% bonus on up to £4000 invested per annum....so in reality on a savings product youre looking at about 27% return.

Is it easy to open a ETF ISA then? Is it done through their websites?

Matched Betting?? Huge returns?! What 2 quid here, 2 quid there?!

I would have suggested using Vanguard ETFs. I'm just getting into this stuff myself and they are well regarded and have low fees.
Lots of really good youtube channels devoted to investments. I've learnt a lot about ISAs etc that I wish I had known years ago, rather than now when I actually want to retire..

Re: Investment on savings
Stick you money in an ETF like Fundsmith/ Lindsell global equity or alike through an ISA. Tax free gains (if they make money of course) - At least you know these funds are run by market professionals and are properly managed.

I actually can't believe the club agree to having that Basset & Gold company advertised on the sleeve of the shirt.

These companies are so moody - investing in these types of firm only results in tears.

The old adage of 'if it's too good to be true - it normally is' - couldn't be more apt when it comes to these companies guaranteeing unrealistic returns.
